Juvenile Program
One evening, three young men stole a car for joy-riding. Through the program, they learned that the car was owned by a single mother much like their own. At the Support and Accountability Conference, she spoke about how she struggled for weeks to shuttle her children to school activities and to make it to work herself. Far from being a nameless, faceless victim, this woman spoke of the impact of the crime on her life. The young men understood, and they repaid all her financial losses by the date promised.
