What We Do
The program received its first juvenile case in December 2002 but has since expanded to adult cases and is now involved in an array of other activities.
Restorative Practices in Schools
Many of the program's juvenile referrals involve an incident on school property and program staff occasionally consult with the local schools on integrating restorative justice into the classroom setting. Schools around the country -- and around the world -- have found restorative justice to be an effective way of working with behavioral issues and cultivating a respectful community. (See SaferSanerSchools or the U.K.'s Restorative Justice Consortium websites for more information.)
