People Make it Happen
Just as restorative justice focuses on people and relationships, this program relies on a host of dedicated folks for its wellbeing.

Staff
David Saunier serves as Restorative Justice Coordinator. David was the first person hired in the program and continues to shape both its long-term vision and daily activities. Currently, David is in charge of the General District Court program for adult referrals. He holds a Master's degree in Conflict Transformation with restorative justice studies. As a Charlottesville native, David cares deeply about this community, has facilitated dialogues on race relations, and serves in fair housing efforts in the area.

Rebecca Moyer
serves as Program Associate. She joined the staff of Central Virginia RJ in 2007 and oversees the program's juvenile cases in addition to helping with program promotion and grant writing. Rebecca is originally from Blacksburg, Virginia and received her BA from the University of Virginia, where she also received extensive mediation training and experience.

During the academic year, the program also hosts an undergraduate intern.  For more information, please follow this link.

The program is housed at OAR-Jefferson Area Community Corrections which generously provides pro bono administrative oversight.
